Currently, these are the known bugs and issues found on Adeeology. Some bugs can be mere cosmetic annoyances, and does not hinder function. A variety of browsers on PC, and on mobile phones displays (simulated and real) were tested extensively. There’s no guarantee it will render as intended on all platforms. If you find an issue not listed here, please use the form at the bottom.
Remaining Issues
- Abbreviations will not show on mobile devices.
- Total web accessibility is an ongoing endeavour. I’ve added web accessibility and usability as much as much as I could, and will continue to do so.
Twitter feed might not load, on Firefox, if not logged into Twitter. Space Karen is to be blamed for this, as Twitter now blocks visitors from viewing tweets, and profiles unless they’re logged in.- reCAPTCHA element on the bottom right is ruining the viewing experience, especially on a mobile phone. It also overlaps the return to top button.
- Some posts are hidden. They’re ads, and clearly marked.
- In some resolutions (potrait layout on a computer), the dropdown menu will stay ‘dropped’, messing up the menu. Click on the dropdown menu again to resolve this.
- On custom screen sizes (such as a vertical monitor), the side menu dropdown may appear jumbled up after clicking on a sub menu, or a link. Clicking again on the menu (hamburger icon) will fix this.
- Some issues cropped up (or only noticed) after the webhost migration:
- The maintenance page’s customisations are lost, which may be caused by an upgrade or during the webhost migration. Gonna have to sift through the backups to restore that.
- Some edited pages’ titles were changed to the author’s user name. Seems to happen when logged out, and relogging in while the page is being opened for edits.
Google Site Kit panel not showing with Firefox (even in safe mode). 12th January 2024.- Table of Content plugin is screwed and disabled, for now. 26th January 2025.
Resolved Issues
2022
Sidebar (navigation on the left) may not scroll. Padding the Twitter feed seems to work, but not on all browsers. Using the Legacy widget fixed it, and has reverted to classic widget editor. Fixed 26th June 2022.Favicon not showing in certain sections.Fixed, 20th July 2022.The sidebar content (in desktop), in some circumstances, may still get stuck. You may need to refresh, click on a link or maximise the browser window. ‘Fixed’ 7th August 2022.When scrolling, the borders may jump, the sidebar encroaches on the main content, and the footer bar (the one with About, Contact links) might also jump upwards. Clicking on a link will fix it.Fixed 7th August 2022.Links opening in a new tabs (from the sidebar). This is a theme plugin issue. Will hunt down the codes and deploy a fix. Fixed 6th August 2022 but clicking on the Twitter feed will still open a new tab, though. The pagination for the blog post listing bug remain, but it’s hardly noticeable. Fixed with a blank image for padding. Fixed 23rd August 2022.The store sub-section to be made uniform with the main site. December 2022.
2023
Web preview linking does NOT work, yet. 18th January 2023. Got my webhost to allow Twitterbot. Some CSS elements might be quirky. I’m trying to merge my old CSS files to this theme. 21st February 2023. Elements fixed to better behave with the mish-mash of themes and plugins. The implemented in-house ad placement is far from perfect and may also disrupt a paragraph’s flow, but at least it’s pwetty. Fixed 21st February 2023.Yoast SEO Twitterand removed. 6th July 2023.summary_large_image
meta tag is cancelled out by the Twitter plugin.Twitter’s plugin meta tags are now commented out. 21st February 2023Can’t get the images and word wrap to behave in small screens. 24th February 2023Changed colours, layout, themes, and updated images too. Reverting is just as hard as changing it throughout (I’m regretting this, slightly). If things appear screwy, clear your browser cache. If it’s still screwy, please drop a line. Done mucking March 2023.The store mobile menu stopped working. Didn’t notice which update caused this. Reverting to a previous version and applying suggested fixes didn’t work.As combing for the faults is lengthy, the admin decided switching themes is much easier. 1st March 2023.- Twitter plugin on the sidebar is now dead, and removed. 6th July 2023.
If the sidebar content (on the left side of the screen) is longer than the main content (on the right), the scrolling could be jerky. The Twitter feed might skip some ‘lines’. Only solution is to maximise the browser window. You may not be able to scroll all the way down to the last Twitter feed on the sidebar when the dropdown menu is activated. This happen when the main content (on the right side) is shorter than the sidebar on the left.
WordPress keep kicking logged in users out. The Idle user logout plugin settings (Setup Idle Time from WP Admin > Settings > Idle User Logout) may revert to default for no reason at all. 7th September 2023.- PHP8 is now enabled. A restored site backup came with a customised .htaccess file that specifies PHP7, overriding cPanel’s settings. 14th December 2023.
2024
