Boredom caused by Covid lockdown has me doing this for my guitar to avoid it always ending on the floor. I set out to make a DIY guitar stand after getting inspired by this page on the internet.

Using several joints left over from a previous job, I set out to do a laptop stand and this guitar stand. The PVC pipes I’m using are for electical conduits, not water though. I topped off some missing joints and started the project, and huff paint, and glue.

The design is pretty straight forward. There are two halves to the stand. The pipes in each halves are then connected with T and elbow joints. These two halves are later combined with an elbow joint too. I further added elbow joints to the front ends to help grip the guitar in place.

I later bought these silicone feet covers, labelled as chair table leg cover, literal Google translation perhaps? It covers the exposed holes, capping the ends. For the rear part, the covers aren’t snug as I would like it to be, as the diameter of the pipes is too small. I later added rings of threads to increase the girth for a better fit.
